Ritual of Bali Karma at Konni Sree Kalleli Ooraali Appuppan Kavu

Thousands offered the ritual of Balikarma to appease  forefathers (pithru Moksha)  at Pathanamthitta, Konni Sree Kalleli  Ooraali Appuppan Kavu (holy place filled with trees worshipping  nature)    in connection  with  Karkidaka Vaavu on Tuesday (2.8.16). Also followed a ritual  at  Achan kovil river side to appease the souls of the dead (Moksha Karma). Started the ritual of  Balikarma  early in the morning at 3.30 with a pooja  to save the Mother  Nature.  Other special  poojas like  Hill pooja,  Bharatha play, Thalayaattam play,  Para Kotty song,  Bharatha Poonkuravan, Kurathi Pooja, land  pooja, Elephant pooja, Yakshi pooja, Nature pooja, tree pooja, water pooja, wilde life conservation pooja were also performed.   The poojas were performed by  Neelamperoor Baiju Santhi, Bhaskaran Ooraali, Aneesh Ooraali and  Randaam Gopalan Oorali. Malak Padeni  for wild Gods, Betel leaf dedication, feeding  monkeys, snake,  fish,  elephant were  also taken place. Later there supplied free food for all those arrived there. The programes were  controlled by Secretary of Kavu, C.V. Salim Kumar, president  Santha Kumar, patron Rajan Kutty, treasurer Santhosh Kumar and media manager Jayan Konni. Police, Fire Force, Forest and Health officials supported.
